Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Cart Maven mobile and web applications and related services (the “Service”) provided by Cart Maven (“Cart Maven”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
Eligibility & accounts
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age in your region) to use the Service. You are responsible for your account credentials and for activity under your account. Provide accurate information and keep it current.
The Service
Cart Maven is a shopping and list app featuring per-store aisle ordering, shared household lists, and optional AI-assisted features. We may add, change, or remove features over time.
Households & shared content
You can share data by inviting people to a household. Members of a household can view and edit shared content. Invite only people you trust, and do not add content you are not permitted to share.
Subscriptions, purchases & billing
- Plans. The Service offers a free tier, a one-time Pro unlock, and an auto-renewing Maven subscription (offered monthly and annually). Entitlements are per user.
- Free trial. The Maven subscription may include a 7-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription at the then-current price.
- Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically for the same period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
- Billing & cancellation. Purchases are processed and managed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Price changes. We may change prices; changes apply to future billing periods and, where required, with notice.
- Refunds. Refunds are handled according to the Apple App Store and Google Play policies. Except where required by law, payments are non-refundable.
Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse the Service, including by attempting to access it unlawfully, disrupting it, reverse engineering it except as permitted by law, or using it to store or share unlawful content.
Your content & our intellectual property
You retain ownership of the content you create. You grant us the limited license needed to host, process, and display that content to operate the Service (including syncing and household sharing). The Cart Maven app, brand, and software are our property and are protected by intellectual-property laws; these Terms do not grant you rights to them except to use the Service.
AI features
AI-assisted features (such as directory scanning and smart categorization) are provided on a best-effort basis and may produce inaccurate results. Always review AI output before relying on it.
Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that prices or store layouts shown are accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cart Maven will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Service.
Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or to protect the Service. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will survive.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.
