This Privacy Policy explains how Cart Maven (“Cart Maven”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Cart Maven mobile and web applications and related services (the “Service”).

Information we collect

• Account information. Your name, email address, and a securely hashed password when you register.
• Your content. The lists, items, stores, categories, aisle layouts, prices, notes, and household membership you create in the app.
• Purchase & subscription status. Whether you have an active Pro or Maven entitlement. Payments are processed by the Apple App Store and Google Play; we never receive or store your full payment card details. We use RevenueCat to manage purchases and entitlements.
• Technical data. Basic device, app version, and diagnostic/log information needed to operate and secure the Service.
• Optional AI features. If you use AI features (such as scanning a store directory photo or natural-language item entry), the content you submit is processed to provide that feature, which may involve trusted third-party AI providers. We aim to send only what is needed for the feature.

How we use information

• To provide, operate, and sync the Service across your devices.
• To enable household sharing among the members you invite.
• To process purchases and unlock the features you are entitled to.
• To provide support, maintain security, prevent abuse, and comply with law.
• To improve the Service.

How we share information

• Household members. Data you place in a shared household is visible to the other members of that household.
• Service providers. Hosting, email delivery, purchase management (RevenueCat, Apple, Google), and, where applicable, AI processing — acting on our behalf under appropriate obligations.
• Legal & safety. When required by law or to protect rights, safety, and the integrity of the Service.
• We do not sell your personal information.

Data retention and deletion

We keep your information while your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us at the email below; we will delete data we are not required to retain by law. Note that content you contributed to a shared household may remain visible to that household.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information, including hashed passwords and encryption of data in transit. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your region), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example, under GDPR or CCPA/CPRA), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at the email below.

International users

Cart Maven is operated from the United States. If you use the Service from outside the U.S., your information may be processed in the United States.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
